ENTRAINMENT CATCHER

The vapours generated in an evaporator body or pan will contain some entrained drops of sugar bearing liquid. This entrained liquid is undesirable for loss of sugar and many other reasons. Once the liquid droplets have been entrained, separation from vapour stream is necessary.

In sugar boiling house, the requirement of recovery is to separate > 99.5% of required liquid particulate of at least upto 10 μ size. Well designed Poly Baffle entrainment catcher may give the result if it is designed within limitation. K S Projects has inbuilt infrastructure to design, manufacture Poly-Baffle for Old / New Evaporation body or Pan SS-304 grade material being used for making Poly-Baffle, with a supply of minimum two sets of baffles mounted one above the other in the vapour space above the calendria. Each layer is oppositely inclined to a suitable angle (between 30-40°) to the upward flow of vapour.
